Optional Tours

 

Monday 9th September - from 14.30 to 17.30
Departure and arrival - Congress venue 

Lisbon City Tour – Half day tour 
Free for accompanying persons 
Departure towards city center, to visit Lisbon’s most important monuments and interesting tourist points like St. George Castle, Aflame (the most ancient quarter of Lisbon), the Monastery of Jerónimos and the Tower of Belém, both masterpieces of the Portuguese Manueline Architecture.
English speaking guide. Includes entrance fees at the different monuments. Lunch not included.

Cost: € 28 per person. 


Tuesday 10th September – from 09.30 to 17.30
Departure and arrival - Congress venue 

Outskirts of Lisbon:Sintra – Cascais – Full day tour 
Departure to Queluz, to visit the Royal Palace, a former Kings residence. Departure to Sintra, an old town World Heritage of UNESCO. Visit to Cabo da Roca, the most western point of continental Europe and proceed to the old fishermen village of Cascais. Return to Lisbon passing by the famous seaside resort Estoril.
English speaking guide. Includes lunch, entrance fees and diploma at Cabo da Roca. 

Cost: € 60 per person. 


Wednesday 11th September – from 09.00 to 18.30 
Departure and arrival at the Congress venue 

Óbidos/Batalha – Full Day Tour
Departure to Óbidos, a charming small village that is completely enclosed within the medieval walls of the castle. Visit the fishermen village of Nazaré, the 12th century Monastery of Alcobaça and Monastery of Batalha, considered to be one of the gothic architecture masterpieces.
English speaking guide. Includes lunch and entrance fees.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Registrations and payment for these tours should have been made prior to the Congress (together with the official registration). 
Registrations on-site may only be accepted to the maximum capacity of the bus.
