Pre Congress Tours

 

From 6th to 8th September

1. Madeira Island

Considered to be the Pearl of the Atlantic, Madeira is almost like a botanical garden featuring at least 2000 species of exotic plants. This Island offers beautiful scenery and a lush countryside with the famous “levadas”. You will have the chance to see the colourful landscape and the impressive cliffs over the Atlantic Ocean.
English speaking guide. Includes flight ticket Lisboa/Funchal/Lisboa in tourist class/Sunday rule.
Arrival/departure transfers, 2 nights accommodation in a 4 star Hotel (half board), half day tour to Funchal with cable car sightseeing and typical toboggan ride, full day tour with lunch to Porto Moniz. 

Cost: € 507 per person in double room – Additional € 50 for single room occupancy.

 

2. Oporto and Minho historical cities 

1st day – Oporto 
Portugal second most important city, Oporto is known as the “unconquered”. Flowing down slopes to the Douro River, with its irresistible lying in its monuments and picturesque streets. City tour passing by the most relevant cultural and tourist points and visiting the Port Wine Cellars. Douro River cruise .

2nd day – Minho historical cities (Braga and Guimarães)
Tour to Braga visiting the 12th century Braga cathedral and Sanctuary of Bom Jesus on the top of the hill.
Tour to Guimarães, the birth place of Portugal, visiting the Castle and the Royal Palace.

English speaking guide. Includes flight ticket Lisbon – Oporto - Lisbon , arrival and departure transfers, 2 nights accommodation (half board) in a 4 star Hotel, half day city tour, lunch and half day river cruise, one day city tour to Braga and Guimarães, entrance fess included. 

Cost: € 474 per person in double room – additional € 60 for single occupancy.
Lunch supplement: € 40 per person 

 

3. Alentejo

A southern Province of Portugal, Alentejo is known for its white-washed typical houses.
This programme includes visit to Évora, world heritage of UNESCO, to admire the most important monuments like Temple of Diana, the Cathedral, the University and the Bone chapel. Visit to the Royal Palace of Vila Viçosa and to Castelo de Vide and Marvão, two small villages built within the castle walls.

Includes bus transport, English speaking guide, 2 nights accommodation in a 4 star hotel in Évora (half board) and 3 star Hotel in Castelo de Vide (half board) and entrance fees.

Cost: € 250 per person in double room – additional € 45 for single occupancy
Lunch supplement: € 55 per person 
Minimum number of participants – 20 participants
