Travel & Visa

Participants requiring a visa for entry to Portugal are strongly advised to make their application in their home country at least 3 months before the intended date of travel. If in doubt, information can be obtained from your nearest Portuguese Embassy or Consulate or from your travel agency. 
From previous experience we know that visa applications can take a considerable time to process. Please apply for a visa in plenty of time so that if there are difficulties you have time to overcome them.

For visits of up to 90 days, visa is not required for nationals of the following countries: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Ecuador, EU, Israel, Japan, Korea (Rep. of), Malawi, Mexico, New Zealand, Uruguay, USA, Vatican City and Venezuela. 

Entity documents required: ID national cards are required for EU nationals and also for nationals from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

Passports (valid for up to 6 months - depending on nationality) are required for all the other visitors.

Letter of Invitation to obtain Visa 

The Organisers of the 20th EADV Congress are prepared to assist you with obtaining a visa to attend the Congress in Lisbon. An official invitation letter will be sent upon request. This letter however does NOT involve any commitments by the Congress Organisers to cover fees, accommodation, travel expenses or other costs connected to the participation in the Congress. 
EADV will not be held responsible for visa not granted.

The deadline for requesting a Letter of Invitation is 30 June 2011, at the very latest.
