CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
Registered participants will receive a certificate of attendance on-site.
English will be the official language of the Congress. There will be no simultaneous
Computer projection facilities (PowerPoint-Presentations) will be available in the meeting rooms. Presenting authors will receive all technical information and instructions prior to and in the Congress in order to ensure the smooth running of sessions.
Sessions of different formats will cover all fields of Dermatology and Venereology. Subjects will be treated with different approaches and from different perspectives. The following sessions will be distributed throughout the Congress:
- Courses including sessions with live patients
- Symposia, Workshops, Discussion Forums, Focus Sessions, Test Yourself Sessions, Controversies, What’s New and Plenary
- Short Presentations of selected Posters and Free Communications in thematic sessions

Lectures are available to all registered participants.
Abstracts selected for oral communication will be delivered at appropriate thematic sessions during mornings and afternoons, from Friday 21 to Sunday 23.
The authors will have 7 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for discussion. Presenting authors will receive all technical information and details prior to the Congress.
Accepted posters will be submitted electronically via the Congress website. Authors will receive all technical information and details prior to the Congress.
Posters viewing will be accessible throughout all days of the Congress on computer monitors at the Congress centre. Posters can be viewed sequentially by number or submission topics or searched individually by title, key word or author.
The authors of the posters that were most highly evaluated by the Scientific Committee are invited to perform a short oral presentation during thematic presentation sessions.
They will have 4 minutes for oral presentation (a short PowerPoint presentation with a maximum of 5 slides) + 2 min for discussion. These short thematic presentations will be held from Friday 21 to Sunday 23, mornings and afternoons.
These sessions will be held on Friday 21 October (FS01 to FS05), Saturday 22 October (FS06 to FS10) and Sunday 23 October (FS11 to FS15) with a maximum of 50 participants each. Acceptance will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cost per session is € 35, lunch box included
Will be held in mornings and afternoons, during different days of the Congress, as follows:
C01 to C08 - Friday 21, C09 to C14 - Saturday 22 and C15 to C19 - Sunday 23.
The majority of these courses will have a maximum of 150 participants each, with exception for the C01, C02, C07 and C18 where maximum of participants will be around 350. Acceptance will be made on a first-come, first served basis (a waiting list will be created for courses that are complete).

LIVE COURSE SESSIONS
CL01 (Skin Rejuvenation) will be held during the entire morning of Saturday 22 October and CL02 (Lasers in Dermatology) and CL03 (Classical Advanced Dermatological Surgery) during the entire morning of Sunday 23 October.
Live procedures will occur in several Lisbon hospitals, with direct transmission from the operating rooms. Chairs will comment the procedures and encourage participation from the audience. Transportation will be provided from and to the Congress centre. Details will be included in the participants’ individual documentation.
There will have a maximum of 90 participants for each course. Cost per course is € 65
At least one author (the first or the presenting author) must register for the Congress within one month after having received notification of acceptance. The paper will otherwise be withdrawn from the programme.
