Optional tours for participants and accompanying persons

 

1. Lisbon City Tour – Half day tour 
Departure for the centre, to visit Lisbon’s most important monuments and interesting tourist sights of St. George Castle, the Alfama (Lisbon's oldest neighbourhood), the Monastery of Jerónimos and the Tower of Belém, both masterpieces of Portuguese Manueline Architecture.
English speaking guide. Includes entrance fees at the different monuments.
Price: €30 per person. 
Daily (except Monday) - from 09h30 to 17h30

(Free for accompanying persons)

 

2. Lisbon City Tour – Full day tour 
In the morning visit the Belém district including Jerónimos Monastery a masterpiece of Manueline architecture. Then visit the Coach Museum which has one of the most complete and beautiful collections of Royal Coaches. Then continue on to The Tower of Belém, drive back along the river Tagus, passing by the Monument to the Discoveries and reaching the Praça do Comércio Square. Then drive up the hill to the historical area of Lisbon, passing by the Cathedral and have a walk to St. George Castle where you can admire an amazing view over the city. Walk back through the narrow streets of the most ancient district of Lisbon: Alfama. Lunch included in a traditional restaurant.

In the afternoon visit the fascinating Tile Museum of Lisbon, housed in the Madre Deus Convent.

Then return to the city centre and have a panoramic tour of the most important squares and avenues of the city: Rossio Square, Restauradores Square, Avenida da Liberdade, Marques de Pombal Square. 
Lunch and 2 entrance fees included (Coach Museum and Tile Museum)

3. Outskirts of Lisbon: Sintra/Cascais – Full day tour
Departure to Queluz to visit the Royal Palace, a former royal residence. Departure to Sintra, an old town given World Heritage status by UNESCO. Visit to Cabo da Roca, the most western point of continental Europe and proceed to the old fishing village of Cascais. Return to Lisbon passing by the famous seaside resort Estoril.
English speaking guide. Includes lunch & entrance fees. 
Price: 75€ per person.
