XXIII CONGRESS OF THE INTERNACIONAL
SOCIETY FOR DERMATOLOGIC SURGERY
and
NATIONAL MEETING OF PORTUGUESE
GROUP OF DERMATOLOGIC SURGERY
18th to 22nd September 2002 - Porto - Portugal

Scientific Programme

Venue of the Congress
“Alfândega do Porto” - Customhouse Building
The Customhouse was built on the old dunes of Miragaia, near Douro river mouth, on a former fishermen's beach. Its construction, of a single structure of architecture, remotes to the second half of XIX century (1860) and its appearance was an answer to the economic growth and to the commercial needs of the city.
The Customhouse Building - which is no longer used as a Customhouse - has recently undergone major works on the building and the surrounding area. Nowadays it is the head office of the Transport and Communications Museum as well as a Congress Centre. This Congress Centre, with a great diversity of rooms and versatile spaces, allows different kinds of events such as conferences, seminaries, symposia, business meetings, products launch and others.
