National Coach Museum
Unique collection of royal coaches which belonged to the Portuguese
Royal Family in the 18th and 19th centuries. Exhibits of oil portraits
of members of the Portuguese Royal Family and three sumptuous cars used

National Museum of Archaeology
A vast and diversified collection of archaeology, ethnography,
numismatics, pre-Latin and Latin epigraphy, sculpture, written
documents, mosaics and physical anthropology. The treasure room holds
one of the world’s most important collections of antique jewellery - one
of the biggest collections in the Iberian Peninsula; an "Egyptian
Antiques" exhibition with pieces from Pharaonic tombs, including
sarcophagi and mummies.

The
Archaelogical Museum of Carmo
The collections in this museum are known for their diversity.
Predominant among them are the collections of stone sculptures dating
from the Roman Period up to the 19th Century. Other collections comprise
artifacts from Pre and Proto history including Pre-Columbian ceramics
and statuettes. Also, Peruvian mummies, Hispano-Arab and Baroque tiles.

The
National Palace of Ajuda
This neo-classic building of the first half of the 19th century
designed by Francisco Xavier Fabri and José da Costa Silva was the
official residence of the Portuguese Royal Family from the reign of D.
Luis (1861-1889). Today it is used by the President of the Republic to
hold many of the most important State ceremonies.

Military Museum
