Tours

The following tours will be available for participants.

 

FRIDAY MORNING
1 - Lisbon City Tour – Half day tour
Departure from the Hotel at 09.00 to visit Lisbon’s most important monuments and interesting tourist sights
* St. George Castle and the Alfama Quarter - Lisbon's oldest neighbourhood
* The Monastery of Jerónimos and the Tower of Belém, both masterpieces of Portuguese Manueline Architecture.
* The Coach Museum which has one of the most complete and beautiful collections of the Royal Coaches.

The tour will then cross the bridge for a visit to the "Cristo Rei" where people can enjoy one of the most beatiful panomaric viwes of Lisbon.

Back to the hotel at 1pm.

English speaking guide, includes entrance fees at the different monuments.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON
2 - Outskirts of Lisbon: Queluz /Sintra/Cascais

Departure from the Hotel at 14.00
to Queluz to visit the Royal Palace, a former royal residence.
Departure to Sintra, an old town given World Heritage status by UNESCO.
Visit to Cabo da Roca, the most western point of continental Europe and proceed to the old fishing village of Cascais. Return to Lisbon passing by the famous seaside resort Estoril.

Back to the hotel at 19.00 pm
English speaking guide. Includes all entrance fees and coffee break.

SUNDAY ALL DAY
3 - Obidos / Alcobaca / Nazare

Departure from the hotel at 08.30 to visit

Obidos - a picturesque medieval village North of Lisbon .
Then proceed to Alcobaca a roman cathedral where are the coffins of Dom Pedro and Ines de Castro.
Lunch at Nazare a very typical Portuguese fishing village.

Back at the hotel at 4pm.
