Participants are cordially invited to special events that will be organized during the days of the conference.

WELCOME COCKTAIL RECEPCION

The conference's welcome cocktail reception will be held at the top floor of the Tivoli Tejo Hotel.

Conference participants will have the opportunity to get a taste of the Portuguese wine and cheese while enjoying the magnificent view of the Tagus River.

VISIT TO THE OCEANARIUM

Conference participants are invited to visit and to be amazed as they journey through Europe's largest Oceanarium. 
Inhabited by 16.000 animals and plants representing over 450 different species, the Oceanarium offers visitors a unique and enchanting experience.

Four biotypes, each recreating one of the world’s coastal habitats, are located in the four corner towers which encircle the central aquarium. Together, they constitute a representative set of ocean environments.

LISBON OF THE DISCOVERERS (Optional Tour)

Departure from the Hotel Tivoli Tejo by bus to discover Lisbon: A city tour that will take us to Belem quarter where we will start by visiting the Jeronimos Monastery, which was built with the money gained by the Portuguese with the spices commerce on the 16th century.

A Coffee Break will wait for us at the Pasteis de Belem Factory, nowadays a coffee shop where we can taste the secret recipe which makes this pastry the most famous of Lisbon. You will not forget these cream custard pastries covered with cinnamon and powdered sugar.

Towards the end there is still time for a panoramic tour of Belem Tower and the Monument of the Discoveries.

The bus will leave from the Conference venue for a 4 hour duration tour in Belém. Minimum of 20 participants.
