Catering
Coffee breaks and light lunchs are included in the participant registration fee and will be served within the Conference area.

Certificate of Attendance
A Certificate of Attendance is given to all attending delegates together with the Conference documentation.

Congress official language
English is the official language of the Conference.

Insurance/Liability
It is recommended that participants take out adequate cover for travel, health and accident insurance before departure from their country. The organizers cannot accept any responsibility for personal injuries, loss or damage to private property belonging to the congress participants and accompanying persons.Upon registration, the participant accepts this stipulation.

Mobile Phone Policy
Please remember to switch off your mobile phone in all meeting rooms and in the exhibition area.

Name Badges
Your personal badge is your entrance ticket to all sessions, to the exhibition area and to all social events. Please remember to wear your badge whenever at the venue.

Technical Equipments
Data-show, slide projection (single) and overhead projection will be available. Speakers are kindly requested to inform their preferences when submitting their papers.


PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Banking
Most banks are open from 08.30 to 15.00, Monday to Friday; closed on weekends and public holidays.
A few (Nova Rede) are open until 16.00

Credit cards
International credit cards are accepted in ATMs, hotels, restaurants and most shops, as well as car rental agencies. The most commonly accepted credit cards are VISA, Euro card, MasterCard and American Express. Diners Club is not accepted.

Currency
The official currency in Portugal is the Euro - €.

Electricity
In Portugal, electricity is supplied at 220V/50Hz AC and power sockets are of the 2 pin round type. Power adapters are usually not available for purchase in Portugal. Most hotels provide 110 volt outlets for shavers.

Meals
The food in Portugal is very good and deserves its worldwide reputation. 
Prices could vary between € 15 (traditional restaurants ) to € 50 (luxury restaurants).

Museums
Open from 10.00 to 17.00; closed on Mondays. 

Post office
Services are usually available at every Hotel or Post Offices. The working hours at post offices are 09.00 - 18.00.

Shops
There are shops open from 9.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 19.00 (Monday to Friday). 
On Saturdays most of the shops close at 13.00.
Several shopping centers are open from 10.00 to midnight, seven days a week.

Time zone
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).


Tipping
This is customary in restaurants and taxis. Tipping up to 10% of the bill is acceptable.

Climate
Climate in Beja is usualy cold during the winter.
