Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the International Society of Dermatopathology, the European Society of Dermatopathology, the Portuguese Society of Dermatology and Venereology and its Dermatopathology Group, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the 25th Symposium of the International Society of Dermatopathology, to be held in Lisbon, Portugal, in September 16th to 18th, 2004.

The Scientific Committee has selected some of the most challenging and attractive sessions that usually take place in these meetings, to wit New Insights in Dermatopathology, Meet the Expert, What’s new in Dermatopathology, Ackerman Lecture, Clinicopathologic Conference, Special and Main lectures and Free Communications.

Lisbon, the city of Ulysses and the sea, is one of the paradoxes of Europe: an old, charming city showing traces of its Roman and Arabic roots which is at the same time thoroughly modern. Here, you can experience ancient monuments, exhilarating cultural events and comfortable amenities side by side. Many of Lisbon's attractions are to be found along the beautiful River Tagus, which (like Lisbon herself) has inspired so many poets and painters. The venue Congress is surrounded by internationally renowned museums, the Tower of Belém, the Monument to the Portuguese Discoveries and the Jeronimos Monastery.
