ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
The Abstracts must strictly comply with the rules below stated, so that they can be accepted by the Scientific Committee of the Congress and included in the Abstract Book.
GENERAL RULES
· Deadline for receiving abstracts is 28th February 2002.
· Abstracts must be sent to the Secretariat by e-mail or regular post. If sent by post it should include the original, 2 (two) complete photocopies and another 2 (two) copies without the names and affiliations (for blind reviewing). Authors must also include diskette (Microsoft Word). The identification form (duly filled in) is also required. If sent be e-mail, a printed copy of the e-mail should be sent by post to the Secretariat.
· Abstracts sent by fax will not be accepted
· Only abstracts submitted in English will be accepted
· To type the Abstract use the Abstract Form (inside the frame)
· The text must be computer printed using Times New Roman, size 10, single spacing
· Give a title to the Abstract. This title must be printed on the top area using capital letters. Align left.
· Leave a space blank following the title and then type the names of the authors, use initials for the first and middle names and write only the surnames in full. Underline the name of the presenting author.
· Following the name of the authors insert * and then mention the name of the Institution and the city and the country.
· Leave another space before starting printing the text.
· The subtitles, if included in the text, must be printed in separate paragraphs.
· The abstract may include graphs and/or pictures
· Before submitting the abstract, please make a careful revision of both the contents and the orthographies.
· The submission of an Abstract implies a commitment for presentation in case of acceptance.
· The expenses incurred with the preparation, sending and presentation of the paper are the exclusive responsibility of the author(s).
· Bases for selection of the abstracts include the scientific content and the originality of the subject.
· The author(s) will be notified in writing until 15th April 2002
· In case the paper is accepted, the presenting author must send the registration within 15 days after the notification.
· POSTERS will be on display during the entire congress. Recommended size is width 90 cm – height 120 cm. The Organisation will provide the displays and the material for setting up.
Abstracts must comply with following theme:
* Common and Severe Pathologies from Hospitals and Private Practices in Different Countries
When organising your Abstract please note that it must be as informative and concise as possible.
Only Posters will be accepted
and the best poster will be given a monetary prize and a set of vintage
Port Wine.
