Conference General Information

 

Badges 
All participants, accompanying guests and exhibitors must wear their name badge when attending any congress or social event. 

Participants: Yellow badges 
Organizers: Blue badges 
Main Speakers: Green badges 
Accompanied guests: Neon red badges 
Exhibitors: Orange badges 
Press: White badges 


A replacement fee of EURO 5.00 will be charged for every lost or forgotten badge. No exception will be made. In order to facilitate the duplicate of badge, please present the registration confirmation letter or a copy of your onsite registration form as a proof of your registration. 

Coffee breaks 
Coffee breaks will be served twice a day, once in the morning at Culturgest and once in the workshop venue in the afternoon. 

Receiving congress materials (delegate bags, etc) 
Congress materials are available at the Registration Desk as per the time table indicated below.
(see "Registration/information desks" below) 

Before this date and time, all desks will be closed and materials will not be given out. There will be no exception. Please bear in mind that in order to give you your materials, we must see a personal identification picture document (Passport, ID card or Driving Licence). Unfortunately, we cannot accept any other person collecting your materials on your behalf, even if they have written permission. Please also note that we do not accept name changes. 


Facilities at the Venue 


All five Venues (Culturgest, Gulbenkiand the Hotels) are equipped with ATM machines, telephone facilities, coffee shop and/or bar.

At Gulbenkian participants have at their disposal a very good book shop. 

At the Hotels participants may also find gifshops and small shops selling magazines and newspapers (cornershops).


Insurance / Liability 
Participation in this Congress implies that persons/participants agree that the organizers do not assume any liability whatsoever. Upon registration, the participant accepts this proviso. 

Language of the Congress 
The official language of the Conference is English. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in French and Portuguese for the plenary sessions but not for the workshop sessions.

Lunches 
For registered delegates, lunch will be served at Culturgest at 13h30. 

Programme changes 
The organisers cannot assume liability for changes in the programme due to external or unforeseen 
circumstances. 

Registration / Information desks 
The registration and information desks will be situated in "Culturgest" reception hall. 
The desks will be open at the following times: 

Monday, 2 October - from 08h00 to 18h00 
Tuesday, 3 October - from 08h00 to 18h00 
Wednesday, 4 October - from 08h30 to 18h00 
Thursday, 5 October - from 08h30 to 18h00 
Friday, 6 October - from 08h30 to 13h00 

Registration – Participants
Full registration includes all programme activities (study tour, plenary sessions, workshop options and exhibition), the social programme 

* Welcome Cocktail Reception at the Museu Nacional dos Coches (National Coach Museum) in Lisbon's Historic Belém Quarter 

* Fado Night 

* Organ Concert at the Sé (Lisbon Cathedral) in the Alfama Quarter

* Closing Dinner at the Estufa Fria (Conservatory) in Parque Eduardo VII

* 4 lunches, coffee breaks and the delegate bag.


Registration – accompanying person 
Includes welcome reception and closing dinner (€ 110,00 per person) 
Accompanying guest's registration is accepted only in connection with participant registration and does not entitle the guest to be admitted to any of the conference´s scientific activities.

Regular Participant - € 685,00 
Student - € 290,00
Employee of NGO - € 290,00
Daily - € 200,00

On site payments will be accepted by means of : Cash or Credit card (Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard or American Express). Visa Electron and Diners card will not be accepted. 

Receipts 
Receipts of payment for on-site registrations will be sent to the participant´s' address after the conference.

Speakers' information 
The Speakers Ready Room will be located in Culturgest (VIP Room)

All presentations must be prepared as PowerPoint files and will be loaded on a central server in the Speakers' Ready Room. All speakers should bring their presentations stored on a CD-ROM, USB memory stick or ZIP disk to this room no later than 2 hours before the start of their session. Please note that the use of own laptop computers and traditional slides will not be possible.

Overhead projectors can be requested. 

Transportation 
Will be only provided for the social events. Time tables will be available at the conference hotels and the venue.
For transportation from the hotels to the venues please refer to "Hotel area map".

After the end of lunch at Culturgest, conference staff will be available to guide the participants to the Gulbenkian Foundation on foot. A shuttle bus will be on hand to take people from Culturgest to the Gulbenkian Foundation as well. Transportation will also be provided to participants presenting at and attending workshops located off-site (community-based workshops).
