HOW TO GET TO FUNCHAL (FROM THE AIRPORT)
You will arrive on the Island of Madeira via the Madeira Intercontinental Airport situated in Santa Cruz, 16 Km from the City of Funchal.
Access is via the dual highway from the Airport to the centre of Funchal, which takes about 20 minutes. To get to your hotel you may have different options:
1. Take a taxi
2. Take the “Aerobus” which is free for all the TAP Passengers upon presentation of their
boarding cards.
The AeroBus service runs daily from the Airport to Funchal (passing through the city
centre on the main road)

The bus circuit in Funchal is divided in 3 zones, from the very centre to the outside direction: Zone 1, Zone 2, and Zone 3.
The hotel QUINTA DAS VISTAS and the University are located on Zone 1. (for more infor-
mation see the www.horariosdofunchal.pt). The ticket board for any zone costs 1,30 euros.
This bus with the number 11, can be catch in “Avenida das Comunidades Madeirenses” (Comunidades Madeirenses Avenue) in the same place to catch the bus to Madeira University (these one with the number 18). It passes just in from the hotel QUINTA DAS VISTAS.
You can ask the driver to let you in the right point!
